WWRD - Christmas Festival 2017
The West Wendover Recreation Distinct concluded the 25th Annual Christmas Festival Wednesday December 6th. Each year local residents and businesses donate items to be raffled off on the closing night. The Christmas Festival is a true Winter Wonderland that brings the communities, volunteers, businesses and most of all children together to give, share and experience the holiday spirit making it an occasion that is looked forward to year after year.
Rudolf the red nose reindeer was on hand to help spread the Christmas cheer, as you walked through the Christmas trees, viewing all of the magnificent gift baskets available for raffle. Kids of all ages place their tickets in the gift basket of their choice hoping that the one ticket draw would be theirs. For the young of age or just young of heart, one could settle next to or sit upon Santa’s knee for a photo and a candy cane, or just pick up a hot chocolate or that special Christmas cookie and enjoy the local entertainment.
This year local entertainment groups included: WWMS Dancing Elves, and WWMS Cheerleaders, Alyssa Lobato Director, Girls Scout, Brenda Little Director, WWES Music Program and WWES Kindergarten Class. Lynette Parker Director, WWHS Music Program, Susan Wyatt Director, Wendover Spanish Baptist Church, Raffle
