Fire Captain Loncar Receives Certificate from Utah Commission on Fire Officer Designation Program
At the Regular City Council Meeting of June 6th, Fire Chief Jeff Knudtson made a presentation to Fire Captain Jeremy Loncar.
The presentation was a certificate awarded to Captain Loncar for his completion of the Supervising Fire Officer Designation by the Utah Commission on Fire Officers Designation Program under the Utah Fire and Rescue Academy.
The designation is achieved through a comprehensive documentation of career development classes, higher education, certifications, competencies and experience based on criteria developed by the International Association of Fire Chiefs.
“I am pleased with Jeremy’s efforts and dedication to not just the program but, serving our community” said Fire Chief Jeff Knudtson. He continued, “Jeremy has demonstrated his commitment to professionalism by following a defined, ongoing pathway of career preparation. He has combined hundreds of hours of training, education and experience to meet the requirements needed for the Utah Supervising Fire Officer Designation and I personally thank him for his hard work.”
