Attention Residents...Call Before You Dig!
Dear Property Owners (Homeowners, Business Owners and Residents):
Are you going to be digging on your property for any reason (building project, planting trees, etc)?
Within the City there are multiple “buried” utility lines located within property easements and rights of way which include water, sewer, electrical, gas, telecommunications and cable. Several of these utilities also may have junction boxes and pedestals located within a right of way or an easement on your property which service not only your home but usually neighborhoods. By not using “Call Before You Dig”, you may put yourself in physical danger including electrocution, gas leaks/explosions causing loss of services to your home/business and others in the area. Any addition to personal harm, any utility damage as a result of your actions comes out of your pocket $.
Be smart, be safe. Call 811 or 1-800-642-2444 at least 2 working days before your starting date, but not more than 14 calendar days. This call will prompt all utility companies with lines in your area to come out and mark the area so you may avoid doing harm to yourself or cause loss of service to the area.
