Nicolas "Nick" Flores:  Council Member                                                     & Mayor Pro-tem

Nick was born in Cedarville, California the oldest of three children, to Elias and Clara Flores.  Nick is married to Bertha and they have three children, one girl Cynthia and two boys, Nikk and Josue.

Nick’s parents moved to Wendover in 1980 where they worked for the State Line Casino.  He attended Elementary and High School graduating in 1992 and left to attend College in Phoenix, Arizona.  In 1996 he moved back to Wendover and took a position in the Computer Systems Department for the Peppermill Casinos.  Nick was promoted to Computer Systems Manager in 2012.  He and his team oversee the Computer and Network infrastructure for Wendover Peppermill properties.

Nick really enjoys seeing the positive growth in West Wendover and is very excited to see what the future brings to this great community.  Nick loves spending time with his family, playing guitar and learning new technology trends.

Johnny has been working in Nevada since the mid 1970's in various locations, his final stop being West Wendover, which began on February 15, 1993 at around 4:36pm.   If you know Johnny at all you will already get the sense of humor.

Further he says he was very fortunate to have met his wife Sandy here and subsequently raise their family within the community.

Johhny says, "We both feel very lucky to live in community where everyone is so nice and protective of everyone."

Roberto "Robert" Trujillo:  Council Member

November 2020 - Elected

Robert was born in Chicago, Illinois, the oldest of four children to Benjamin and Rosalba Trujillo.  He is married to Hilda and  they have three children, one girl Belsy and two boys, Ruben and Robert Jr.

His parents moved from Chicago to Wendover in the early 1980's. What attracted them to Wendover was that it was a small and friendly community.  Robert attended Elementary and High School  and graduated West Wendover High School in 1998.

Shortly after graduating High School he met Hilda who he married in 2000 and soon thereafter they purchased their first home.

Robert has been employed at the Rainbow Casino for more than 20 years and currently holds the position of Restaurant Manager.  In addition, Robert and Hilda also have had the privilege of owning several small businesses starting out first with a company that provided party supplies and bounce houses in the community and eventually opening the Epic Night Club and BeTru Fitness.

He loves spending time with his family and enjoys traveling to different parts of the U.S. and Mexico.  He also enjoys organizing events such as quinceaneras and weddings and lifting weights.
