Marriage License Application Requirements
No person younger than 17 years of age may obtain a marriage license in the State of Nevada. Minors aged 17-18 may obtain a marriage license if the following requirements are met: 1) Both parties must be Nevada residents, 2) The minor must have the consent of at least one parent or legal guardian, and 3) The minor must have authorization from a district court. Minors 17 years and older who meet the requirements may appear before the clerk for a marriage license if they can produce the district court authorization, a birth certificate, a driver's license, instruction permit, state identification card or passport and must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian in order to obtain a marriage license. The parent must show their identification and will be required to sign a consent form. A legal guardian must produce court documents assigning guardianship of the minor to them and be able to show identification.- For applicants 18 years of age and older:
- Photo ID is required (Drivers License or Passport)
- If previously married the applicant is required to provide the date of the last divorce and the city where the divorce was granted.
