Community Development

The City's Community Development Department established in 1999, performs various important functions for the city including:  Planning and zoning, commercial and residential development plan reviews and related building permits, statistics and demographics, code development and compliance, coordination with issuance of business licensing, community event planning, community advertising and other matters related to the development and growth of the city.  

The City's Tourism and Convention Bureau also operates under the umbrella of the Community Development Department providing visitors to the are with tourism information and assistance and ensuring that all visitors receive our Nevada trademark hospitality and friendly service with a smile.  The Tourism & Convention Bureau operates out of the West Wendover Welcome Center located at 735 Wendover Boulelvard.
