HOW DO I GET A CITY LICENSE ?

LICENSE APPLICATION :   In general, most city business licenses are not difficult to obtain.   Pick up / print out one of our city business license applications and city business licensing personnel will go over the form's checklist with you, either in person or over the telephone, to determine what documentation you will need to submit prior to the issuance of your new license.

FEES :   Most general city business licenses cost $50.00 / Year.   Industrial facilities pay a basic amount of $100.00 / Year.   Casino facilities pay a beginning amount of $100.00 / Year, plus additional license fees based upon other business activities being conducted in their facility. (See City Code:   3-1-8:   Multiple Licenses)

TERM OF LICENSE :   The fees listed above follow the City's fiscal year, with the license period beginning July 1 and ending June 30 of the following year.   All licenses must be renewed at the start of each fiscal year.   There is no proration of license fees for any license issued after the beginning of the fiscal year, and there shall be no return of any license fee if the business discontinues it's operation prior to the end of the fiscal year.
